David Repking
Just as every championship football team needs a gun-slinging quarterback, so every Funky Bunch needs a Doctor. The devilishly charming Repking, a sort of cross between Joe Namath and Jascha Heifetz, infuses the quartet with bravura technique and a confidence that raises their playing to a higher level. Unfortunately, on some occasions his capricious spirit overtakes his work ethic, and rehearsal time may degenerate into a festival of Napoleon Dynamite quotations.
Dave studies with Carolyn Heubl, and has spent two summers at the Aspen Music Festival and School. He is a native of St. Louis, and a passionate Cardinals fan.
